"Is this a good crack or a bad crack?"
"The city said I need an engineer to take a look at this."
"My client needs to close on their home in a week. Can you write a report?"

We often hear these questions and concerns from homeowners, real estate agents, contractors and commercial property owners.

The process for investigating any structural issue begins with a site visit to inspect the area of concern. This is done with a physical inspection.
Next, the engineer will determine if the area of concern causing the structural deficiency will need repair. Not all issues require repairs.
If the area of concern needs repair the engineer will create a unique report that outlines the findings and what is required to remedy. Every report has the stamped seal of the engineer. This report can be submitted directly to the city, if required.

Common problems we see are wood and steel truss repairs; wood and steel truss analysis and repairs; and cracks in slabs, foundations and beams. These are just some common issues. Your specific needs will vary based on your situation.

We can help and can discuss your unique concerns.
